Shortly after we returned from Miami after Thanksgiving we began preparing for Christmas. The kids were eager to put up our Christmas decorations, with a highlight being decorating the tree with our family's Christmas ornaments.
Our tree is decorated nearly 100 percent with sentimental (and largely kid-focused) ornaments. No Pottery Barn catalog worthy or designer-decorated tree at the Wilson's! But what we do have are dozens of pre-school and elementary grade crafted ornaments, plus a few ornaments to represent the kids interests and our family's travels together. I am happy with our tree though, and I especially enjoy listening to Amelia and John's expressions when I pull out some of their favorites and they squeal with excitement.
Decorating the tree is always a highlight of the Christmas season. What a fun evening!
