Scott suggested that I become more modern with my photo-sharing techniques, so I decided to start the new year off right by creating a family blog where I can post photos of the kids and provide family and friends with periodic updates of our family's activities. So if I can handle the technology adequately, posting to this site will take the place of my biweekly family emails. Enjoy!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas! We enjoyed having grandma and grandpop in Dallas to enjoy the holiday with us. The kiddos had a great time and I believe we had the right amount of gifts from Santa without going completely overboard. The children's favorite gifts were the rocket launcher, the Spiderman costume for John and Amelia's roller skates.

This is the rocket launcher! The children love this toy. Amelia has enough leg power to really shoot the rockets high in the air, and of course the adults can easily make these things fly. We have done rather well with this - one casualty on the roof (which blew off the next day) and several temporary mishaps in the trees which were easily corrected. This is so much fun! Amelia loves her roller skates! She practiced quite a bit on Christmas Day and is more confident on the skates now than at first.

John is spiderman! This photo pretty much sums up John's Christmas experience once the spiderman costume was opened. John loves his spiderman outfit, and Scott is thrilled that John is no longer dressing up in Amelia's tutus and princess outfits. Probably the best money Santa spent this Christmas.
