As I was putting the kids to bed last night I gently reminded them that mom would be taking first day of school photos in the morning, and that they should gladly cooperate and not roll eyes over this annual tradition.

I begged and pleaded for a smile by the locker and this was all I got.
Amelia was much more cooperative!
Both kids seemed excited about their day today and I got a lot more answers to my "What did you do at school today?" questions than normal. I know that both Amelia and were John were excited to see friends that they hadn't seen in months and they appear enthusiastic about starting their new grades.
