You know that the 8 year-old and 5 year-old Wilson kids were super excited for Halloween this year! Amelia and John have been counting down the days and looking forward to this holiday for over a month now. Today was a gorgeous fall day in Texas, with temperatures during trick-or-treating time were in the mid 60's. Gorgeous. We started off our evening by having fun at our annual block party. Families from the neighboring blocks gather for food and drinks prior to trick-or-treating. It's amazing how much energy and excitement the kids have at this point prior to gathering the sugary treats. The adults sit back, enjoy a glass of wine, and wonder how they will muster up the stamina to survive the evening.
Amelia and our next door neighbor Kate were both dressed as Cleopatra! What beautiful girls!
After an hour of trick-or-treating, the kids decided to call it quits and return to the house to distribute candy. Amelia and John both enjoyed sitting on the porch giving out treats to neighborhood kids.
And then afterwards the kids went inside to look over their loot. John was nice and smiled cooperatively for me, of course.
Not really. But my sweet Amelia did. :-)
