Sibling Love

One night last week after dinner while I was cleaning up the kitchen and the kids were watching their pre-bedtime show in the adjacent living room, I looked over and witnessed the following exchange:

Amelia (to John): " I am so glad you are my best friend, buddy."

John looked a bit shocked but then quickly responded, "Yeah, me too."

Awe...moments like that make my heart melt. Completely.

To top that off, last month I snapped this photo as Amelia was reading a bedtime story to John. If I am finishing up a last-minute chore and want the kids to go back to their rooms to relax for the evening, I know that I can count on Amelia to read nicely to her brother. John LOVES when Amelia reads to him, and I appreciate the sibiling love when they share the joy of reading together.
