Truck time

John and I attended a local event this past Sunday called Truck Time. This is a day where you can pay admission to gain entrance to a big parking lot filled with all kinds of cool trucks and vehicles - fire trucks, police cars, 18-wheelers, ambulances, etc. The kids are allowed to climb all over the trucks and in most cases the kids can push buttons to make the whistles and sirens blow. This is really cool for a 4 1/2 year old boy! Lots of fun for the mom too who gets to watch her boy enjoy the excitement of all things male. Below John is exploring the inside of an 18-wheeler cab.

One of the last trucks we visisted was the fire truck. The firefighter manning the truck had an outgoing personality and he pestered John the whole time he was on the vehicle. The firefighter urged John to try on the attire, pull various sirens and whistles, etc. Basically the guy was a lot of fun. At one point he told John to put on his "fighter face" so that Mom could take a photo, and the shot below is the result of the firefighter's experiment.

Tough guy, indeed!
