Sunday park visit

Amelia's elementary school had a week of dress up days last week. Friday was "crazy sock day", so take a look at Amelia's crazy socks! They're actually cooler in person than in the photo - purple, hot pink, black, and silver glitter-striped knee socks, found on $1.99 clearance at Target! Amelia loved them.

What do crazy socks have to do with the title of this post, "Sunday park visit"? Well, nothing. But we did have a fabulous time at the park this Sunday and that is what the remainder of the photos are about.

Look, we let John run wild through the park! I love this photo. A carefree boy on the run, having fun on a cool and calm Sunday morning. Check out the small purple flowers blooming on the trees above. Spring has come to Dallas and we are glad.

John and Amelia found several objects to play with during our nature walk in the park. Here John is projecting movements like the statues we found in the park.

And Amelia is having fun posing next to a small tree.

But the thing that held their attention the longest was this seesaw. Amelia and John each sat at one end and they bounced each other up and down, laughing and giggling, for a long time.

They bounced each other so hard, trying in vain to get each other's butts off the edge of the seesaw. To make matters even more fun, the seesaw made strange noises with each bounce so John and Amelia affectionately named this the "farting seesaw".

I do not claim that I imposed this influence on my children. Blame it on their father.

But giggles resulted.

We enjoyed a fun Sunday morning at the park! And we are excited because in two days we will be in Florida, visiting with my family for the second half of Amelia's Spring Break. Spring is awesome in Dallas, but I am way more excited for the warm weather sunshine and time with family in Florida!
