John's pumpkin

The host church for the childcare center where John is enrolled hosts a pumpkin patch, which is open to the public, each October as a fundraiser for church activities. All of the children get to visit the pumpkin patch as part of their school day. John's class visisted the pumpkin patch last week, and they recently painted their pumpkins as a class art activity and dictated a story to their teacher about the pumpkins.

I was really tickled by John's story, particularly the part about the pumpkin's favorite foods. Yes, you should infer from this that some of John's favorite foods are chocolate milk, bacon, and strawberries. And if you have spent any time with John, you know that he regularly assigns middle names to people/objects with the first thing that comes within his sight. Hence, the middle name of "table" for the pumpkin is not surprising at all. I have no idea where "Scolly" came from though.
