We were blessed again this year with amazing weather. I'll bet the temperature didn't get above 95 degrees, which is fantastic for June in Texas. We drove out to the Gaylord late afternoon on a Friday, and then we enjoyed the water park Friday evening, had dinner and slept in the hotel, and then we stayed at the water park until almost 4:00 Saturday. What a fantastic 24 hours!
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but I will say that a good time was had by all.
Posing for a family photo in the atrium Friday night after dinner was not so successful. These are the best of the bunch (not great), but at least the boys weren't making obnoxious hand symbols in the photos for a change.
Exploring the atrium Saturday morning. Amelia and I enjoyed the games and art that were scattered throughout the area.
Giraffes!
A caterpillar and sunflower. The caption from the artist read on the description read, "I just want to make you smile!"
The water park!
They think they can hide from my camera.
John was so excited that he snagged a (rare!) double raft!
John was so happy that (finally!) this year he was tall enough for the zip line!
Scott is trying to make crazy hand gestures for the photos but Amelia won't let him. Smart girl.
My favorite photo from the Gaylord trip, crazy hand gestures and all!
